Equity Research

The Equity Research department is responsible for researching macroeconomic and microeconomic conditions, along with company fundamentals. It also collects and analyses financial information to make investment recommendations on stocks in specific sectors. Research analysts build financial models to explore alternative scenarios, examine industries and communicate with companies and investors. Equity Research team members discuss their analysis and investment recommendations in research notes. Morgan Stanley is looking for a strong Associate to join our Equity Strategy team in our New York, NY office.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have 2-4 years of experience working in either a macro/cross-asset research role, a bottoms-up equity research role, or a market facing equity sales & trading role.

Must have a strong markets background.

Programing experience preferred, especially in Python.

Must be an advanced Excel user.

Experience with Bloomberg and FactSet strongly preferred.

Candidate must possess strong quantitative abilities and strong written/verbal communication skills
